Friday morning, not very early. I slept in until I woke as it is a holiday in South Africa. Woman’s Day.
Therefore selecting the theme is easy today. It is
Women
As usual, create your own post. If you have never played along, try it. Your post can be words, pictures, sound. Anything that is your expression.
Then come back here and leave a message with a link to your post, so that others can follow around and see what people have posted.
The rule, as always is “have fun with it”.
Sidey, I have had a very dry period recently, but in response to your weekend theme, I thought the repost on johnell74.wordpress.com was appropriate. I hope you like it.

I loved it, that superficial busyness, and the need that lies below
OMG, can I just say how awesome it is that you all have a holiday called “Women’s Day”! Love it.
We also have one of the most progressive constutions. Nowwe still have to learn to live up to it
I have heard of Woman’s Day (the magazine) but never Woman’s Day (the holiday) . . . how do people celebrate?
Any way we like, to celebrate the wonderful women we have and have had.
Did you ever read of the womens march against the pass law? When men dared not.
I am in awe of those women – what courage!
They were simply amazing. Facing down armed men just by being there
My essay on women has been published …
Just a few ground rules for them to aim at.
Col, just how much sick-leave do you get? It may not be enough
*puzzled* There was something there you disagreed with?
I’m sure some local women can de-puzzle you
No such luck with a woman’s day in France!!!
ah well, they haven;t reached that stage yet
I’ve got one! Well, it’s about ‘birds’ anyway, and a bit tongue-in-cheek:

wonderful, now I am confused
Of dear – this one made me serious – http://wp.me/p1J6nA-Mk
i forgot the ‘have fun’ requirement but maybe you will forgive
sometimes fun is enjoying hpow far we have come?
trouble is I get to thinking how far there is still to go – need to look both ways. I feel fortunate to have been born both where and when I was born – and want good fortune to be there for all the others
I think we are of an age, and have been lucky to see what we fought for now being taken for granted by younger women and girls
It is a tragedy over again if it is taken for granted too much – the women in Pakistan and Afghanistan now seem to have less freedom than they had maybe twenty years ago
or we just know more about their plight?
Late as usual…..
