It’s Friday, I’m back at work after a really great break, it’s the weekend for Elvis’s birthday, a date shared by my mother and a good friend, the sun is trying to beat those clouds and give us a little brightness and warmth. Koda is sleeping downstairs and Nunu is up here with me keeping me company.
All of that, but absolutely no inspiration for the weekend theme. So went off browsing, picked the 5th offering of a word of the day off a Google selection, and viola “Deluge”. Pretty topical really.
From the online Webster’s dictionary (just for a change I decided to avoid wikis)
Origin of DELUGE
Middle English, from Anglo-French deluje, from Latin diluvium, from diluere to wash away, from dis- + lavere to wash — more at lye
First Known Use: 14th century
So here it is in all it’s (wet?) glory
The weekend theme is DELUGE
